Our 50th anniversary celebrations came to a close yesterday with the last in a series of three webinars held in partnership with Valor Econômico. Gabriel Todt Azevedo, head of the ESG Division of the Inter-American Development Bank, took a stand in the controversial Carrefour incident in which a customer was killed after being attacked by two security guards at the Porto Alegre store. The discussion on ESG (environmental, social and governance practices) demonstrates how investment funds and the market have responded to companies that do not comply with these practices and do not uphold these values.
