BACEN defines rules for informing corporate composition of financial institutions and those authorized by the Central Bank to operate

On 20 October, through BCB Resolution 23/2020, the Central Bank provided for the provision of information regarding the corporate composition of institutions authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil to operate, with the exception of credit unions. According to this Resolution, the institutions regulated by the Central Bank must inform, electronically in the Capital Composition Map, the direct or indirect participation in the share capital held by: (i) Controller or member of the control group; (ii) Participant resident or domiciled abroad; (iii) Institution authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil; and (iv) Participant with 5% (five percent) or more of the institution’s total capital.
