The Ministry of the Environment has opened to public consultation the proposal of the National Plan on Solid Waste (Planares), which was instituted and regulated by art. 15 of Federal Law nº 12.305/2010. This plan represents the national strategy to operationalize responsibilities, principles and goals which guide the different participants in the implementation of waste management. The Planares establishes the norms and minimal conditions for States and Municipalities to have access to resources.
