The State of Rio de Janeiro this week regulated the Special Tax Credit Installment Program of the State of Rio de Janeiro (“PEP-ICMS”), which was instituted by Complementary Law No. 189/2020 and gives Rio de Janeiro taxpayers an interesting opportunity to regularize ICMS, IPVA and ITD debts, with reduced penalties and late charges.
