Self-generation of solar energy at home pays off, but it can take some time

Although the costs involved are still relatively high, investments in distributed generation are increasingly popular. The Legal Framework for distributed microgeneration and minigeneration has set deadlines for the start of charging for the use of the solar energy distribution network, which has grown in Brazil with the boosting of the photovoltaic board market.

Commenting to Folha about this investment, partner Ligia Schlittler said that 99.9% of Brazil’s own energy generation comes from solar energy, explaining some differences between distributed and centralized generation.
