Last Friday, 26 July 2024, the Secretariat for the Environment and Infrastructure of the State of Rio Grande do Sul submitted to public consultation the proposal for a Normative Instruction that aims to establish the criteria and procedures for the registration of systems and programs of reverse logistics and establish the State Reverse Logistics Registration Certificate.
According to the proposal, registration will be mandatory for collective and individual reverse logistics systems operating in the State, applying to manufacturers, importers, distributors and traders who place products and packaging subject to reverse logistics in the territory of Rio Grande do Sul. Registration is optional for other programs and entities that are not covered by current reverse logistics rules.
