The Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) has launched the “Environmental Impact Assessment Guide – (AIA) – Causal Relationship of Reference of the Power Transmission System”.
According to IBAMA, the objective of the referred guide is “to increase predictability and technical security in analyses and decisions; improve the terms of reference and, therefore, increase the quality of environmental studies, as well as optimize the use of resources (time, cost and personnel)”.
