CMN improves regulation of banking correspondents in Brazil

ALERTS

On 29 July, the National Monetary Council (CMN) published CMN Resolution No. 4,935/2021, improving the regulation regarding the performance of banking correspondents in Brazil. The update aims to improve the supervision and performance of banking correspondents and explicitly includes the possibility of these agents acting virtually through an electronic website, app or other network communication platforms. Partner Maria da Graça Pedretti and the head of the Fintech and Payments Systems area, Fernanda Garibaldi, address this issue in an Alert, in Portuguese, at https://bit.ly/386v5vC
