The National Water and Basic Sanitation Agency (ANA) published on 19 May in the Official Gazette “requirements and procedures to be observed by ANA to prove the adoption of Reference Standard (NR) No. 1/ANA /2021, which deals with the regime, structure and parameters of charging for the provision of the Public Urban Solid Waste Management Service (SMRSU), as well as the procedures and deadlines for setting, adjusting and revising tariffs”, which came into force on 20 May.
Our #TimeFeA from the areas of Sanitation and Environment, Sustainability and Waste highlighted the main points of the Reference Standard: to enable access to federal public resources, it is necessary to adhere to NR No. 1/ANA/2021; and the process of proving the adoption of NR No. 1/ANA/2021 will be carried out through the Infranational Regulatory Entity (ERI), registered with the ANA.
