CNJ Recommendation nº 63/2020 – Orients judges in judicial recoveries to adopt measures to mitigate the impact of COVID-19

Covid-19 News

The National Council of Justice has approved a recommendation to judges presiding over judicial recoveries process, which seeks to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on businesses. Recognizing the need to protect companies from an irreversible deterioration of their financial critical situation, the recommendation seeks to rebalance relations between parties in a judicial recovery process and to minimize losses. Even though it is not legally binding, it provides important guidance to judges in Brazil.
