On 19 March 2020, the Brazilian Private Insurance Agency (SUSEP) published a set of guidelines for those choosing to participate in the Sandbox Regulatório program. This experimental regulatory program incentivizes the growth of new business models with less regulatory cost. The goal of the program, according to SUSEP’s director, is to “amplify the insurance coverage in the country, stimulating competition and innovation, promoting the country’s economic development.”
