Similarly to the Federal Government, the State and Municipality of Rio de Janeiro adopted taxation measures to facilitate adaptation to the time of crisis resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Among other measures, the State Government extended the validity period for administrative processes and tax regularity certificates and extended payment deadlines for installment payments. At the municipal level, deadlines were also extended.
