São Paulo Regional Labor Court upholds just cause applied to employee who misappropriated corporate information to personal email account

Recently, the Regional Labor Court of São Paulo (TRT/SP) upheld the dismissal for just cause of an employee who diverted corporate information to his personal email account.

Maurício Pepe De Lion, Ana Cristina Valentim, Rafael Borges, Clarissa Luz and Daniela Machado have written an Alert analyzing the TRT decision from the Labor and Data Protection point of view, highlighting the importance of companies developing and implementing internal governance and privacy policies and promoting employee awareness of the same.
