Companhia de Saneamento do Paraná (Sanepar) has launched a public-private partnership (PPP) for sewage to carry out BRL 1.2 billion in works in 16 cities, located in the Central Coast micro-region of the state.
When assessing the situation, partner Rodrigo Bertoccelli stated that “the fact that the major water and sewage operators in the country are, for the most part, already leveraged on account of other contracts may restrict competition, but also open space for arrangements between groups of smaller companies and investment partners”.
