With the arrival of the World Cup, the LGBTQIAP+ affinity group, in partnership with the Sports Core, promoted a Round of Conversation on: how FIFA and the entities that organize sporting events deal with the LGBTQIAP+ issue with host countries; the difficulty that athletes find in assuming their sexuality or gender identity in sport; how prejudice still present in the football world is approached.
At this meeting, the LGBTQIAP+ group invited Leonardo Máximo, a player agent and specialist in Sports Law with a strong influence in football, to share his experience on being an openly homosexual professional at the intersection of sport, law and business.
