The auction of the regional concession of solid waste of the Intermunicipal Consortium for Regional Development of Vale do Rio Grande (CONVALE) will take place on 14 April and it is estimated that there will be an initial investment of BRL 165 million and a cost of BRL 944 million for operating expenses during the 30-year concession.
Rodrigo Bertoccelli commented to Valor Econômico about the challenges in structuring through the consortium, which “is a type of voluntary association, whose regulation is not complete”, the main challenge being to regulate this via contract.
