Ordinance against demand for vaccines is criticized

The recent ordinance of the Ministry of Labor, prohibiting employers from demanding vaccination certificates from employees, has stirred up heated discussions.

Interviewed by Estadão, our partner Maurício Pepe De Lion stated that all the principles mentioned in the ordinance involve the issue of the individual, and not the collective, right, which is the case of the pandemic. He also highlighted the negative consequences for employers in case of contamination of peers and/or family members of professionals, which creates legal uncertainty.
