How social networks have influenced labor relations and judicial decisions

The recent high-profile case of a former employee who had a favorable decision reversed due to a video on the TikTok platform has raised questions on how social networks influence not only labor relations but also judicial decisions around them.

Partner Maurício Pepe De Lion, a specialist in Labor Law, commented on the matter to Folha de São Paulo and highlighted that more and more social networks, with posts such as videos and photographs, are being used as evidence in legal proceedings. In addition, he commented that common sense is needed in networks on both sides, employee and employer.
