Federal Government increases IOF rates on credit operations

ALERTS

On 17 September, the Federal Government published a decree that increases, starting 22 September, the daily rates of the IOF levied on credit operations granted to individuals and legal entities (“IOF/Credit”). During the pandemic, the IOF/Credit rates were twice reduced to 0%, between April and December 2020. Rafael Malheiro and Gabriel Paranaguá have written an alert on the main changes.
