Our founding partner Thomas Felsberg and lawyer Victoria Vaccari Villela Boacnin, renowned experts in the area of judicial recovery, have written an article for Brazil Journal on debt restructuring of family controlled companies in Brazil.
In the article, entitled “Fraud in the judicial reorganization of family controlled companies’”, Thomas and Victoria deal with one of the distortions that compromise the company’s choice for restructuring, reducing credit recovery in Brazil. The reflection on certain aspects of the restructuring of family controlled companies (which correspond to the vast majority of Brazilian companies) seeks to suggest an improvement to the judicial recovery system, which is a fundamental instrument for the health of Brazilian capitalism.
