The Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution is developing a Global Plastics Treaty. The treaty goals are to: put an end to plastic pollution, protect human health and the environment from adverse effects along the plastic life cycle, and/or reduce the production, use and disposal of plastics along its life cycle, through the promotion of a plastics circular economy with the purpose of ending plastic pollution within “x” years.
