Light is currently legally prevented from making use of a legitimate instrument to which other companies have access. As a way to circumvent the ban, the company argued a legal thesis that the Holding that controls the distributor (the company that provides the service to citizens of Rio de Janeiro) can ask for a judicial reorganization to bind the creditors of the subsidiary, preventing them from doing so. A major legal battle is envisioned between the company and its creditors.
