In the text, Thomas and Victoria discuss how the reform of the Bankruptcy and Business Recovery Act changed the structure of power between debtor and creditors and encouraged the search for alternative forms of conflict resolution, addressing the benefits that resolution via negotiation has brought to the parties in cases where it has been used.
