Government proposes to take away workers’ right from those who suffer accidents

Jair Bolsonaro’s Government used the Provisional Measure of the National Institute of Social Security – INSS (MP do Pente-Fino) to propose that accidents occurring on the way from work to home and vice versa would no longer be considered as occupational injuries. According to the deputy Paulo Martins, aligned with Bolsonaro, since the working day does not comprise the employee’s travel time, the social security legislation must adapt to the new rules.
