Mato Grosso do Sul’s environmental authority IMASUL launched on 27 July 2020 the Packaging Take-back System (Sistema de Logística Reversa de Embalagens em Geral in Portuguese, shortly Sisrev/MS), available at http://sisrev.imasul.ms.gov.br/ (Portuguese only).
Both the proposals for packaging take-back systems and the yearly performance reports required by State Decree No. 15,340/2019 from manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers of packed products must be filed with IMASUL via Sisrev/MS.
State Decree No. 15.340/2019 stipulates that proposals should be submitted by 24 June 2020 via an appropriate form to be made available at IMASUL’s website. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the form has been provided only now through the launch of Sisrev/MS.
According to IMASUL’s explanatory note (Portuguese only), proposals for packaging take-back systems must be filed by 4 September 2020. The yearly performance reports, in turn, must be sent by 30 June of each year. Exceptionally, the 2019 performance report is to be sent by 10 December 2019.
