The Ministry of the Environment has opened for public consultation, until 18 September 2020, a proposed Terms of Engagement focusing on perfecting the system of reverse logistics of aluminum cans for beverages. The proposed Terms of Engagement aims at, among other things, making the Program “Cada Lata Conta” a legal managing entity responsible for organizing and analyzing the available information related to the commercialization of aluminum cans, and to their collection and to their arrival at an environmentally proper destination. This managing entity is also in charge of seeking the adhesion to the program of producers, importers, distributors, retailers and recycling companies.
