Profile

Thiago holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) and is a partner in the Restructuring and Insolvency practice. He has been part of the Felsberg team since 2014, working in both advisory and litigation roles in the field of Corporate Insolvency, handling national and international bankruptcy and corporate reorganization proceedings. He also has extensive international experience, having worked as an international legal consultant on a Restructuring and Insolvency team at one of the largest law firms in the United States. A speaker and author of books and articles on Corporate Insolvency, his work has been recognized by national and international rankings such as The Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, Expert Guides, and Análise Advocacia.

Experience

Thiago’s recent work includes:

 

  • Leading and participating in various corporate resorganization proceedings, including traditional and pre-packaged judicial reorganizations, mediation-related injunctions and precautionary measures, and bankruptcies, representing the interests of debtors, creditors, and investors;
  • Representing the interests of debtors, creditors, and investors looking to provide funding or acquire distressed assets in private restructuring negotiations;
  • Legal risk analysis in credit operations and structuring of transactions involving distressed assets, representing the interests of debtors or investment funds in general.
