The beginning of April was marked by two new decrees on sanitation.

 

The two points that deserve to be highlighted are: permission for state companies to regularize precarious contracts and authorization for state companies to provide the service in micro-regions without the need for bidding. This subject is under discussion in the media and our partner Rodrigo Bertoccelli spoke to Valor Econômico about the extension of the deadline for the regionalization of services. According to Rodrigo, “the extension of the deadline is bad in theory because it delays the regionalization solution. But in practice it is an essential measure, because the homework [for regionalization] has not been done and the municipalities need the resource.”
