André Castilho, a lawyer on our Environment, Sustainability and Waste team, is co-author of an article published in Jota. In the article, André and other authors address potential synergies between climate policies and waste management, from the fulfillment of obligations already foreseen for more than ten years by the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), such as the closure of dumps, to the less evident, such as the generation of carbon credits resulting from the environmentally appropriate disposal of solid waste.
