The e-commerce sites of Americanas, Submarino and Shoptime had their activities suspended in the early hours of Saturday 19 February, after “unauthorized access” to their servers. The unavailability of the websites, which represent 60% of the companies’ revenues, has caused serious repercussions.
Commenting on the matter, Daniela Machado, our lawyer in the Data Protection and Technology area, opined on the risks, obligations and consequences of cyber incidents.
