Companies deposit the second installment of the 13th salary; what to do if you haven’t received it

This week was the deadline for companies to deposit the second installment of the 13th salary of 2021.

Jessica D’Acunto, a lawyer on our Labor team, spoke to Folha de São Paulo about this and explained that the 13th salary or Christmas bonus is established by law and is a worker’s right, but this year, with the publication of a Provisional Measure that allowed the reduction of working hours and wages or suspension of the employment contract, the value may be lower than usual for those who had their contracts suspended.
