ANVISA’s new standard allows the import, sale and donation of used and refurbished medical devices intended for use in Brazil

A new ANVISA standard, which will come into force on 1 January, regulates the activities of importing, marketing and donating used and refurbished medical devices intended for use in the Brazilian territory.

Marianne Albers, Mariana Vianna and Thaís Fernandes, from our Life Sciences area, have published an Alert on RDC 579/2021, which represents an advance in access to health by allowing, for example, health establishments with lesser financial resources to take advantage of  used or refurbished medical equipment.
