Central Bank of Brazil and National Monetary Council update regulations on international payments and transfers

On 9 September, the National Monetary Council and the Central Bank of Brazil published CMN Resolution No. 4,942 and BCB Resolution No. 137, updating the Brazilian foreign exchange regulations. Among the main measures, payment institutions may be authorized to operate in the foreign exchange market, exclusively through electronic means.
