Renato Brandão, a partner in our Restructuring and Insolvency area, spoke to Valor Econômico about LatAm’s creditors in Brazil questioning the airline’s decision to adopt an alternative dispute resolution mechanism. In the article, Renato pointed out that “with the reform (in the Bankruptcy Law), there was an internalization of these cross-border insolvency rules. It is a big point of this reform. We have the creation of a new, faster procedure, aimed at the recognition of foreign proceedings in Brazil”.
