The long-awaited New Bidding Law was ratified, with vetoes, and published in the Federal Official Gazette on 1 April 2021 (Federal Law No. 14,133/2021). In general, the new law updates the regulations related to bids and administrative contracts, revoking the current Bidding Law (Law No. 8,666/1993), the Auction Law (Law No. 10,520/2002) and the Law that instituted the Differentiated Regime of Hiring (Law No. 12,462/2011), in the parts that regulate bids and contracts.
