João Carlos Mendonça and Pedro Henrique de Oliveira Fontes from our Corporate and M&A department have written an article for Valor Econômico, reflecting on one year in force of the Economic Freedom Law (13,874/2019), that proposed reducing the bureaucracy of economic activities and put Brazil back on the radar of foreign investors. Using concrete cases as an example, the article presents how the judiciary and other public entities have observed the application of the legal text in practice.
