Palmeiras is in danger of being demoted because of Marco Polo del Nero, says FIFA

Felsberg in The News

In maintaining former CBF president Marco Polo del Nero as a member of its Deliberative Council even after FIFA determined a ban on him related to any football-related activity, Palmeiras is at risk of being relegated to Series B of the Brazilian Championship. The fall to the Second Division is among the penalties provided by FIFA for those who do not comply with their rulings. Del Nero has been banned for life from exercising any role in football by the FIFA Ethics Committee. He was found guilty of bribery and corruption, conflict of interest and misconduct and was fined 1 million Swiss francs.
