Paulo, Rodrigo Prado, partner in the area of Tax Litigation, commented on the developments of the so-called “Taxpayer PM.” Yet to be approved by Congress, the PM regulates the payment of federal tax liabilities between the tax authorities and taxpayers. According to our specialist, this PM brings innovative features to the national tax system, as it “attempts to bring the tax authorities and taxpayers closer together to discuss the payment of taxes, which is unprecedented in the history of Brazil but happens in several countries.”
