Fernando is a lawyer working in the areas of Technology, Media and Entertainment, Intellectual Property and Telecommunications. He is a member of the Internet and Information Technology Law Commission of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). In addition to AIPPI, he is an active member of the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communications Law (ABDTIC), the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI), ITechLaw and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). In 2018, Fernando was recognized as a reference lawyer in the field of Media and Entertainment in Brazil by the Client Choice Awards.
Fernando has extensive experience in advising national and multinational companies in the structuring of new businesses, negotiating contracts involving complex legal and regulatory issues of technology, intellectual property, telecommunications and privacy and data protection. He also represents companies in administrative and judicial proceedings towards the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) and the National Film Agency (ANCINE). Fernando also offers compliance training involving privacy and data protection issues to his clients.
