Walter joined Morgan Stanley in 2007. Previously, he was a Vice President of Investments with Lehman Brothers, managing assets and trading securities for ultra-high net worth individuals and institutions from Latin America with a focus in Brazil. At Morgan Stanley, Walter provides specially designed financial strategies to help his clients with their highly individual goals. By employing an extensive wealth management approach through a consultative process, he implements customized investment plans designed to help accumulate, preserve and transfer wealth. Walter’s expanding knowledge of the markets and the economy, allows him to apply his diverse set of skills to his clients portfolio management and asset allocation strategies. As a Private Wealth Advisor, Walter serves a select client base, from a broad spectrum of industries, and they include numerous corporate executives, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and professional athletes.
Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Walter earned a BS in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Newbury College (Boston, MA) and his MBA from Thunderbird, School of Global Management from 1998 to 2000 (Phoenix, AZ). And prior to that, Walter initiated his career at New England Funds in Boston.
A native of Brazil, Walter speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently. He currently resides in Miami with his wife Marina and their twins Walter Antonio and Victoria. The Alves family loves to travel and is constantly visiting other countries and learning about their history and culture.
