Felsberg e Associados opens branch in Campinas

In furtherance of its current expansion plan, Felsberg e Associados opened in May a new branch in Campinas, the second largest city of the State of São Paulo and the industrial and business heart of the booming and prosperous interior of the State.

The new branch results from the merger of the prestigious local firm of Moraes Bueno de Aguiar e Advogados Associados, ran by employment law specialist Fábio Bueno de Aguiar. The branch counts with a legal team of 12 (seven lawyers and five interns) and will focus on employment law issues, but, progressively, will broaden its activities to other areas of the Business Law. Felsberg e Associados’s head offices are located in the City of São Paulo, and also has branches in Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Campinas, Washington D.C., Düsseldorf and Shangai.

Felsberg International Trade Lawyer in the Middle East

On the first week of June, 2008, Felsberg's attorney Carolina Saldanha was one of the three speakers for the lectures on Trade Defense Measures in the Workshop on "Dispute Settlement, Agreements on Antidumping, Subsidies, and Safeguards", which took place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank and the Cooperation Council for the Arab of States of the Gulf (GCC).

The Workshop's main objective was to discuss and contribute to the know-how of Arabic developing countries' investigating authorities regarding the available trade remedies instruments, and their application in two different economic blocs, being the European Union and Mercosur. Materials and lectures were based on the Course on Dispute Settlement in International Trade, Investment and Intellectual Property, especially compiled for UNCTAD by renowned scholars and experts.
