Felsberg e Associados recently created a German Desk to assist German companies in Brazil or clients engaged in commercial relationships with German-based business associations. The initiative was the result of a cooperation agreement with MMlaw Rechtsanwälte, a German law firm with offices in two of the most powerful economic centers of Europe – Rhine-Ruhr and Upper-Rhine, both in Germany.
The launch of the German Desk commenced with the transfer of Christian Moritz, German attorney and partner of MMlaw, to Brazil to personally assist clients in legal cases. In addition to Moritz, the new department created by Felsberg also includes three other attorneys fluent in German.
Moritz focuses his practice in the areas of labor law, international trade law and commercial contracts. He serves as a legal consultant on European Union partnership projects with countries applying for EU membership. He also previously worked as a legal counsel for both Eurocorps in Strasbourg and for the headquarters of the Nato-led Stabilization Force (SFOR) in Sarajevo. He also previously was director of the German clearing house of the European Extrajudicial Network, focused on the settlement of cross-border commercial disputes. Furthermore, he acts as a lecturer on German labor law at Strasbourg University.
Felsberg, Pedretti, Mannrich e Aidar – Advogados e Consultores Legais is recognized as one of the most prominent law firms in Brazil with a significant domestic and international presence in all areas of corporate law. At present, the firm has offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and Washington D.C..
