Social Responsibility



FELSBERG E ASSOCIADOS gives support to the C.R.E.S.C.E.R project (Centro Rotário Educacional, Social, Cultural e Recreativo). It is a philanthropic entity founded in 1986 with a view to providing services to the community and a Social Program for Work Education duly registered with the CMDCA/SP. The social program is based on educative work seeking to stimulate and prepare students for the market, thus providing a basic professional experience and qualification for the first job, enabling the personal development, stimulating the creativity, reflection, self-confidence and motivation for personal development, leading the participants to the citizenship and providing the first experience in the labor market.

 

Expedição Vaga Lume is a program for creation of libraries for children in rural areas of municipalities of the Brazilian legal Amazon that was created in 2001. The main purpose of Vaga Lume Association is to contribute for the human development in rural communities of such region. To date, libraries have been implemented in 20 municipalities in 101 rural communities. More than 15 thousand children had access to more than 35 thousand books. FELSBERG E ASSOCIADOS, aware of its social responsibility, gives support to Baccarelli Institute by rendering legal assistance to such entity. The option to support such social project was guided by the nine years of success of such initiative on the part of Conductor Silvio Baccarelli to teach classic music to youths arising low-income families. FELSBERG E ASSOCIADOS cooperate with Dorina Nowill Institute for Blind People. Such contribution is made through a weekly donation of discarded paper. The paper is triturated and donated to such entity for recycling, then converted into financial resources to support its projects. FELSBERG E ASSOCIADOS also supports the &lsquoAméricas Amigas&rsquo association, an organization which was inspired by Ambassador Barbara Sobel and founded in 2009, bringing together Brazilian and American volunteers and community leaders, dedicated to programs and donations to hospitals and health institutions in Brazil which work towards the early diagnosis of breast cancer. This support took the form of assistance in the creation of the association and continues in the provision of legal advice.
